Vote for the Bethlehem Skatepark

An ambitious, wonderful and restorative project that will help continue to change the image of the Lehigh Valley is underway in the city of Bethlehem and it can use your help to make sure it comes to complete fruition.

This project needs to happen to the maximum degree it can, by voting for it on the Pepsi refresh page, we can make sure it gets the funding needed.

For info on the project check out: Homebase 610 You will find schematics of the park plans, and other information.

As of this posting, this project is ranked 8th on the Pepsi Refresh Everything page. Let's change that.

Who is paying the bill?

How many long-term, permanent, non-tax-payer-funded jobs will this project create?

PORKY PORK

Wait, Anon 11:31, the Pepsi grant is footing the bill. PEPSI. Nothing to do with a big, expanded government, but funded by the free market. That is the opposite of your "PORKY PORK."

At any rate, I think it's incredible how far this skate park has come. Not too long ago, it needed facebook groups to keep it going. Now it's 8th!

Anon 11:31,

While I appreciate a good debate on public policy and environmental issues, what you have posted here is neither of those two things.

This is not a "pork" project. This is a DIY attempt at securing funding from a major corporation looking to give it.

The money will be awarded to the project receiving the most votes by the general public. There is no government involved. I suggest you actually read what I have posted and/or linked to before commenting again.

In addition, none of the construction or labor force will be tax funded from the Pepsi corporation if this money is awarded.

Further commentary like this, will be deleted. It is trolling.

This projects sounds great. Easton promised to do this years ago on the South Side. Any idea if this happened? Allentown had a skate park in original Cedar Beach plan. What up with that, attention all shifted to the new paved trails plan? HOW ABOUT A REPORT ON THE BULLDOZER WORKING IN CEDAR BEACH PARK RIGHT NOW ??????? That is FUBAR !
